Missouri Parks Association 36th Annual Meeting

The 36th Annual Meeting of the Missouri Parks Association is planned for October 5 through 7, 2018, at Watkins Mill. This three-day gathering will begin Friday afternoon with a 1:00 p.m. tour of Confederate Memorial State Historic Site and a 3:00 tour of the Battle of Lexington State Historic Site.  That evening's social will include heavy hors d'oeuvres and a possible program.  Participants will gather Saturday morning at 8:45 a.m. at the Watkins Mill visitor center for the annual state of the parks address by Ben Ellis and a panel on cultural resource stewardship (a complement to last year's panel on natural resources).  Sunday morning's annual meeting of members and board directors will take place at The Elms hotel.  Registration for the 36th annual MPA meeting will open on August 1 and close on Friday, September 21.

A block of rooms has been reserved at The Elms for those attending the annual meeting.  To book a room at the reserved block rate, you must make your reservation by September 14.  Call 816-630-5500 to make a reservation.
